How do auctions work on AuctionBargain?

Sellers list items with descriptions, photos, and starting prices. Registered buyers place bids during the auction period. When the auction ends, the highest bidder wins — provided any reserve price set by the seller has been met. The winning bidder is then required to complete payment within the stated timeframe.

Are bids legally binding?

Yes. Every bid placed on AuctionBargain is a legally binding offer to buy. By registering for an account, you agreed that bids constitute binding contracts. Winning bids create a legal obligation to complete the purchase.

Who sells the items on AuctionBargain?

Goods on AuctionBargain are sold by third-party sellers, unless a listing expressly states otherwise. AuctionBargain is the marketplace platform — not the seller, manufacturer, shipper, or fulfiller of goods sold by third parties.

Is AuctionBargain the seller?

No. AuctionBargain is an online auction marketplace. Unless a listing expressly states that AuctionBargain is the seller, the goods are sold by third-party sellers using the AuctionBargain platform. AuctionBargain provides listing display, bid management, payment processing, and auction record coordination.

Who ships the items?

Third-party sellers are responsible for shipping, delivery, collection, courier coordination, and item handover. AuctionBargain does not directly ship, store, or fulfil items. The fulfilment method for each item is shown on the listing where supported by the current system.

Can I return an auction item?

Completed auction purchases are final. AuctionBargain does not offer change-of-mind refunds or returns on auction purchases. By registering, you agreed that bids are legally binding and auctions are final. Narrow refund exceptions may apply for duplicate payment, proven fraud, seller non-fulfilment, materially incorrect listings, or where required by law or payment-provider rules. See our Refund Policy for full details.

What if the item is not as described?

If an item you receive is materially different from the listing description, contact AuctionBargain support at [email protected] with your order number, listing ID, photos of the item received, and a clear description of the discrepancy. We will investigate and coordinate with the seller.

How do I contact support?

Email [email protected]. Our support hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sydney time (AEST/AEDT), excluding public holidays. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Please include your order number or listing ID and a clear description of your issue.

What payment methods are accepted?

AuctionBargain accepts credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other payment methods that may be enabled at checkout. Availability may vary depending on your location, device, payment provider, risk review, or listing type.

Why was my payment held or declined?

Payments may be held or declined for several reasons, including fraud screening, risk assessment, payment-provider review, or issues with your payment method. If your payment is declined, try an alternative payment method or contact your bank. For held payments, contact [email protected] with your order number.

How do seller refund or support issues work?

Contact AuctionBargain support at [email protected] with your order number, listing ID, and details of the issue. Our support team will coordinate with the seller using the internal seller information attached to the item. The seller is responsible for resolving fulfilment, item condition, and seller-specific support issues.

Does AuctionBargain store my payment information?

AuctionBargain does not store full card numbers, CVV/CVC codes, bank login credentials, PayPal passwords, Apple Pay credentials, or Google Pay credentials. Sensitive payment data is handled by approved third-party payment processors and is never stored on AuctionBargain's servers. We may store limited non-sensitive transaction metadata (transaction IDs, payment status, last four digits, card brand) for order records and support.

What should I do if I think a payment was unauthorised?

Contact AuctionBargain support immediately at [email protected] and also contact your bank or payment provider. Prompt reporting helps us investigate and protect your account.

How do I request account deletion or access my data?

Email [email protected] with your request. We will review and respond in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Please note that we may retain certain records for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.

How long does AuctionBargain keep auction and order records?

We retain customer, seller, account, auction, bid, order, support, and payment records for as long as reasonably required for business operations, generally up to 7 years where required or appropriate for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

What is a reserve price?

A reserve price is the minimum amount a seller is willing to accept for an item. If the highest bid at auction close does not meet the reserve price, the seller is not obligated to sell. The reserve price status is shown on the listing where applicable.

What is Buy Now?

Buy Now allows you to purchase an item immediately at a fixed price without waiting for the auction to end. Where a Buy Now price is shown and the item has not yet received a qualifying bid, you can complete the purchase instantly. Buy Now purchases are final, just like auction wins.

How do I register as a seller?

To sell on AuctionBargain, you must provide identity, business, contact, payment, and item ownership/right-to-sell information as required during seller onboarding. Contact [email protected] for information about becoming a seller on AuctionBargain.

Are there fees for buyers?

Buyer premiums, platform fees, and processing fees may apply to auction purchases and are shown on the listing or at checkout where applicable. All fees are displayed before you confirm your bid or purchase. Buyer premiums and fees are non-refundable except where required by law or payment-provider rules.
